The equipment industry needs innovation. So Infor has created a new center for product development, and organized an advisory council for CAT dealers.
This is a significant commitment to the equipment dealership industry. Infor is investing heavily in product development, with approximately 200 staff dedicated to the Infor Equipment product set at the company's innovation center in Stockholm, Sweden.
"Equipment dealers have a special set of business challenges and need to meet growing competition and price pressures head-on by using visibility to manage outsourced value chains," said Mark Wright, executive vice president, Infor. "Infor is investing heavily in products and working closely with equipment dealers to help them control, track and coordinate the entire equipment lifecycle and manage internal sales, finance, service, warranty and rental departments to promote better customer service and equipment maintenance."
In addition, the new Infor CAT Dealer Advisory Council is committed to the support, development and use of an industry-specific template that leverages the collective experience and knowledge of all members to create competitive edge.
"Participating in the Infor CAT Dealer Advisory Council enables us to convene with our peers to help determine best practices that Infor is building into its products to help us operate more strategically and profitably," said Rens Bouman, program director, PON Equipment and PON Power, one of Europe's largest Caterpillar dealerships and service providers.
