Megan Dahlen, Infor's very productive senior director for global business development, has been nominated for Sales Lead Management Association's 50 Most Influential People in 2014.
She was nominated by business development senior manager Crystal LaBathe.
Why are you nominating this person? - the SLMA nomination form asks.
LaBathe writes of Dahlen:
"She helped design and change the direction of the global, comprehensive, multifunctional business development organization within Infor yielding double-digit pipeline and revenue contribution growth year over year the past four years. She is a talented Millennial generation leader, consistently bringing fresh strategies and creative thinking to help build best practices.
"She cares about helping her employees world-wide get to the next level of their development and career progression by constantly investing in her staff. She took on the challenge of building out promotion paths within Infor, and just saw the 100th promotion from her team into other departments.
"Not only is Megan a personal mentor to all of her direct reports, but she also invests in training and educational opportunities for her staff as she helps each employee build a multi-year development plan.
"She also knows the importance of giving back. She serves as a project lead board member with Junior Achievement, and brought that initiative to her team."
Dahlen says she’s psyched just to be nominated by a colleague.
"When I joined Infor in 2010, my mission was to grow and enhance the existing business development program by bringing an innovative perspective to the way we approach and engage with our current and future customers. I also wanted to motivate and encourage BDRs by helping them to better understand the critical nature of their role and giving them the necessary tools to pursue their own career objectives within the company," Dahlen said. "Being nominated for this award is an enormous honor – one that encompasses the efforts of my whole team."
Winners are chosen by SLMA members. Voting is open now until Nov 30. Honorees will be announced Dec 10.
