You might not see it at every store you visit, but the call for industry-wide change is already manifesting itself in shopper habits: 73 percent of retailers see in-store mobile technology as a driver of better customer success and loyalty. …
"Whether you're buying a pair of khakis or a cup of coffee, you're more likely than ever to complete your transaction via a mobile point of sale solution-something that seemed downright futuristic just a few years ago.
"And that's just the change brewing at the checkout counters. Behind the scenes, progress in areas like cloud computing and data science is spurring demand for innovation at the enterprise level. In a recent survey, 90 percent of retailers said they felt that data analytics would increase their sales, with 58 percent of respondents ranking data as a top-three strategic priority."
