Infor software engineer Darrin Wolf loves to code, but says, "Sometimes, it's great to get away from my laptop and put on my Habitat construction hat."
When he volunteered with a dozen co-workers on the Habitat for Humanity build in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in December, he said, "I feel that I am building a piece of something 'real,' because it is more than code — it's part of someone's future home."
The Infor team worked on roofing, building an outdoor storage shed, indoor insulation, and other miscellaneous tasks.
"We loved this," said Jey Charles, senior director of support operations. "Many on the team had done other Infor Habitat builds. But we did have a few first-timers. The experience was great, not only in the sense of helping the local community, but also as a good team bonding event."

"I always enjoy helping out my friends and family with construction projects, but the feeling that comes from helping out on a Habitat for Humanity project goes way beyond that. These builds are simply an awesome opportunity to make a difference in the community. I honestly cannot think of a more mutually beneficial organization for Infor to support." — Dan Evans
"It's always great to get away from my typical work day where everything going on is only happening virtually behind my laptop screen or in my head. … I feel even better knowing I helped a person close by, in my community, who needs our help." — Darrin Wolf
"The opportunity to help someone in our community was an awesome feeling. Proud to work for an international company that cares for the local community of its employees." — Jey Charles
