The middle-sized shop and interior design specialist Johann Weimann GmbH relies on the flexible industry solution Infor COM 6.3 for his future order processing, manufacture and production. The software solution Infor COM will shortly be taken into operation at 35 workplaces at Weimann GmbH. The goal of the installation is to implement the solution, which can be applied flexibly, on an AS 400 with the DB2 data base, in real time, at the latest by the end of 2004. Thanks to the complete industry solution Infor COM, the manufacturing company Weimann were able to replace their existing proAlpha solution. Already now, the system, which was implemented together with Infor's sales partner COBUS ConCept, fulfills the desired requirements regarding cost efficiency and security, to the full satisfaction of the management.
The determining factor for Weimann GmbH when choosing Infor COM 6.3 was the great expertise of the two solution providers Infor and COBUS. In addition, the middle-sized manufacturing company was convinced of the practicability of the project through a feasibility study. The realization phase of the solution, which is to be fully implemented and put into operation by the end of the year at the latest, began already within four months of the initial contact.
The shop designer Johann Weimann GmbH has been in existence since 1906. Based in Selmsdorf, directly in front of the gates of Lübeck, Weimann designs, plans and produces tailor-made furnishings for department stores, branch chains and exclusive specialty retail shops. Further business areas are system partition walls and installations for the wharf industry. Today, with about 130 employees, Weimann is a well-known name in modern shop design in Germany and Europe.
