NEW YORK - Oct 15, 2014
Infor, a leading provider of business application software serving more than 73,000 customers, today announced Infor CloudSuiteTM Fashion, offering fashion customers access to applications within the cloud environment. Infor CloudSuite Fashion builds upon Infor's offerings available on Amazon Web Services (AWS), combining beautiful software with rich product lifecycle management, sourcing, manufacturing, customer order management, supply chain, and finance functionality. Through a flexible, subscription-based delivery model, customers can considerably lower IT expenditures while continuing to benefit from visibility across the global value chain with system-wide transparency for all key stakeholders.
The release of Infor CloudSuite Fashion provides small- to large-sized fashion, apparel, footwear, accessories, luxury goods, and textile companies with a full suite of tools to manage the entire fashion process from design, development and sourcing, to production, distribution, customer service, and finance. Using cloud-based applications can help significantly lower capital investment in IT, and also allows users to quickly share data such as sales revenues, product specifications, production plans, and customer information in real-time, ultimately allowing teams to be more collaborative and efficient.
Infor CloudSuite Fashion offers access to industry specific analytics, providing critical metrics and key performance indicators to end-users through a unique user interface that utilizes Infor ION®, a purpose-built middleware, and Infor Ming.leTM, a social collaboration engine. These enhancements support global value chains by allowing users to view real-time data at anytime and from any location.
Customers can experience a faster return on investment and a reduced total cost of ownership with Infor CloudSuite Fashion, as cloud delivery is managed through a monthly subscription. Without the need to purchase onsite servers and hardware or hire supplementary IT staff, Infor CloudSuite Fashion is more cost effective than traditional capital investments in on premises IT, and moves costs from capital expenditure to operations expense.
"The fashion industry is one that needs to adapt quickly to fluctuations in pricing, consumer demand and regulations - and this could be different in every region in which an organization operates," said Bob McKee, industry strategy director, Fashion, Infor. "Infor CloudSuite Fashion is a strategic asset to organizations operating in this industry because it delivers tools to better connect across different departments and locations, and helps to achieve business goals with a lower total cost of ownership. Infor's applications specialized for Fashion provide the functionality needed to better meet changing customer needs, more accurately manage value chain logistics and ultimately do daily tasks more efficiently."
Infor takes advantage of Amazon Web Services' expertise and economies of scale by leveraging the AWS Cloud, providing access to resources when they need them. AWS provides services in 10 Regions, with 25 Availability Zones and 51 Amazon CloudFront Edge locations globally.
