NEW YORK and GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. - Mar 26, 2013
Infor, a leading provider of business application software serving more than 70,000 customers, and Ciber, a global information technology consulting company, today announced Denver Public Schools (DPS) in Denver, Colo., has become one of the first school districts in the nation to use Infor for talent management. The Ciber-led implementation is intended to support the district's 2010 Denver Plan, which calls for putting students first by finding and retaining the most qualified teachers for every classroom. As outlined in the plan, the Talent Management suite supports one of the district's top-line goals: strategic management of human resources.
The new software - which includes modules covering Global Human Resources as well as Performance and Goals tracking - enhances the existing Infor Human Capital Management suite by delivering a unified platform that ties together any software, content and process to help organizations operate more efficiently. The Infor solution features user-oriented functionality, built-in automation, an enhanced user interface, self-service functionality and a talent-management focus. It improves the school district's processes for evaluating teachers and aligning compensation with qualifications, better enabling DPS administrators to support and reward effective teaching. The school district went live with the system in early December.
"The new Infor software dramatically modernizes our back-end systems and sets the stage for the district to achieve its long-term goal of hiring great people to deliver great results," said Shayne Spalten, DPS chief HR officer. "Ciber has worked with us to understand the unique requirements of K-12 school operating environments and helped design a system to truly meet our needs."
"Denver Public Schools has been a Ciber client for many years," said Beth Dvoracek, Ciber's senior Infor practice director. "We're proud of yet another opportunity to help the district meet its goal of improving the lives of Denver's kids."
For more than a decade, Ciber has been a leader in providing business application solutions to education clients. More than 200 educational districts and institutions worldwide have worked with Ciber to prepare for, upgrade, implement, integrate and manage their enterprise systems.
