Infor, a leading provider of business application software serving more than 70,000 customers, today announced the availability of Infor Service Management 5.0, the latest generation of Infor's leading service management application. Infor Service Management helps companies improve visibility, boost service performance management, increase revenue, and more proactively provide aftermarket services. Version 5.0 offers users easier contract creation and cloning, the ability to highlight configurable rental rates, robust search functionality and a new intuitive interface.
For dealers who are expanding their organizations into equipment rental, a new rental counter desk has been added. This is designed to support both small and high-volume rental businesses, involving a check-in and out-process and the ability to quickly view inventory availability and establish the terms of a rental contract over the counter. New capabilities support up-sell, rental inventory, and project out rental availability - all of which contribute to greater profitability for dealers, rental and service providers.
In response to customer demands, further enhancements have also been made to support Food and Drug Administration (FDA) compliance. In many cases, the FDA requires distributors and manufacturers to provide lists of serialized assets, their serialized components, and the customers currently in possession of those assets. To satisfy these FDA requirements, Infor made changes to increase the visibility of component serial numbers and customer ownership through new reporting features. Infor is helping customers adhere to FDA guidelines by implementing electronic signature capabilities and requirements.

Additional updates to Mongoose 9 features include DataSearch and DataView Actions & Styles, where users can search for information stored anywhere in the application.
