NEW YORK - May 27, 2014
Infor, a leading provider of business application software serving more than 70,000 customers, today announced that Weissman Designs for Dance, an organization that has been providing affordable dancewear and costumes for more than 50 years, has successfully upgraded to the newest version of Infor M3 Fashion to streamline operations, increase visibility and provide even better customer service. The upgrade enables Weissman, an Infor M3 Fashion user since 2010, to better monitor and control financial and supply chain processes, customer and supplier relationships, and manufacturing, warehouse and distribution operations.
"There is more processing power in the newest version of Infor M3 Fashion, and we were able to elevate the speed and performance of daily operations," said Frank Buettner, COO, Weissman Designs for Dance. "Our company has been growing and Infor's system has allowed us to scale with our expanding business and increasing workforce, adapting to the needs and demands of the company as they fluctuate each year."
Infor M3 Fashion consolidates financials, sourcing, manufacturing, supply chain, sales and distribution management information into one coherent view of operations. Weissman is able to reduce redundant administrative work by having the system automate critical business processes. Weissman will also benefit from the Infor M3 costing toolbox, available via the upgrade, which can perform simulations for both cost and pricing, allowing users to view and compare alternate cost and price structures. Users can change cost or price elements to view the overall effect of the change and update instantly, delivering full visibility into supply chain costs. The Infor M3 costing toolbox enables improvements in efficiencies and related cost savings, and ultimately aids in implementing better pricing strategies.
"We're able to better manage customer-related information, and since the software is integrated with our supply chain, we can provide realistic and reliable dates to our customers. Because of Infor M3 Fashion, we've been able to accurately ship almost every order on time and maximize efficiency at the facility," added Brian Merli, vice president, Information Technology at Weissman Designs for Dance. With Infor M3, Weissman also has the tools to capture, analyze, and manage all financial information related to the company's operations, both externally and internally. Since the upgrade, the company has been able to upload expense budgets to compare actual against budget, and plans to further automate manual financial processes to ensure the company is able to execute at peak performance when the busy season comes. These efficiency gains will help Weissman meet their mission of delivering exceptional service.
"The newest version of Infor M3 Fashion helps drive down the total cost of ownership for organizations by utilizing new technology, easier upgrades, new functionality and tools, and easier user interactions, ultimately making a return on investment higher and faster," said Robert McKee, industry strategy director, Infor. "Infor solutions help build a competitive advantage and provide the support needed to reduce costs while providing the best service possible to our customers."
