Giving Back at Infor: Framingham's Back to School Project

In advance of this year's school season, employees from our Framingham, Massachusetts office rallied to gather school supplies for their local chapter of the Department of Children and Families.

Spearheaded by Catherine Rodrigues-Coleman, Sheila McInerney and Anita Gregory, employees from the Framingham office filled 24 backpacks with donated school supplies for underprivileged children. In addition to supplies, employees also donated their time to prepare each backpack for the charity.

The Department of Children and Families sent a thank you note explaining how touched they were to receive the donation.. In the note, the DFC supervisor explained how meaningful it was for the children not to feel different because they are not as fortunate as many of their peers. Generous donations such as these help children begin the school year with the supplies and confidence that they need to achieve success.

Thank you Catherine, Sheila, Anita, and all who participated from the Framingham office.

Giving Back at Infor: Blood Drives Save Lives

Once every quarter, Infor employees are encouraged to give the gift of life.  Steve Criger of customer support organizes blood drives that directly benefit the Alpharetta community.  Held at our headquarters throughout the year, the blood drive provides an opportunity to donate pints of whole blood, platelets and double red blood cells. Steve strives to create a comfortable atmosphere for first time donors and regulars.

Partnering with LifeSouth, Steve has helped procure the donation of as many as 58 pints of blood in one day and since the first drive held in July 2006, 421 pints have been donated.  He encourages donations through email updates and gets local businesses involved with a raffle. Thank you to Steve and all the employees who donate their time to this amazing cause!
