Abstract

This brief focuses on how manufacturers should now be recognizing that the basis for competition is now speed and not just scale. The paper refers to the Aberdeen Report ERP in Manufacturing 2011 and extracts some of the stats to show how manufacturing enterprises that fully capitalize on their enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, are far more likely to excel than others. It goes on to recognize how conventional ERP systems, however, may be hindering a company’s ability to operate faster and then discuss how, in contrast, New ERP is changing things. It supports the Infor10 messages.
