Iconic motorcycle manufacturer Triumph partners with Infor for business transformation
Triumph chose Infor to partner on a business transformation journey with its team of 1,600+ staff across 24 countries; the results will ultimately provide Triumph customers with an enriched customer experience. The first phase involves implementing a suite of solutions to accelerate global order fulfillment.
Designed for progress
The historic Triumph Motorcycles Ltd brand represents more than a century of building top quality, high performance vehicles. Customers associate Triumph-brand motorcycles with extraordinary achievements including racing victories, speed records, and superbly crafted products. To keep the company competitive in a new century, Triumph chose Infor as its business transformation partner. Infor gives Triumph more agility, efficiency, and success in a rapidly evolving business environment.
Land speed attempt
The greatest achievement in Triumph's first century may have been its dominance in the world motorcycle speed record, which it held for all but 33 days between 1956 and 1970. The motorcycles that set speed records today are built and engineered very differently than they were in that era, and world record speeds are far higher. However, Triumph's ability to build a world-class vehicle remains as strong as ever. That's why Triumph has decided to launch another assault on the 376.363 mph, two-wheel world land speed record, with sponsorship from Infor.
Renowned high-speed daredevil Guy Martin will be the driver for this attempt, steering a highly specialized vehicle built with a carbon fiber shell and two powerful Triumph engines powered by methanol. The attempt will be recorded for television and broadcast as part of Guy's popular program on Channel 4 in the UK and the Discovery Channel worldwide.Read press release ›
