From US GAAP to IFRS

Are you ready?
As it appears ever more likely that the US Securities and Exchange Commission is accelerating measures to retire GAAP and to adopt International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)—it make sense to assess readiness sooner rather than later.

International Financial Reporting Standards

The move to standardize the various country-specific accounting standards started in 1973 with the formation of the International Accounting Standards Committee (IASC). Those standards have evolved into the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), which have been adopted by more than 100 countries worldwide to meet global accounting requirements.

Countries such as the US, Canada, India, and Japan have outlined roadmaps for IFRS, and the migration and convergence of other countries seems certain. As we’ve seen in other countries, conversion can be a significant process. Getting an early start on the assessment can make a difference.

That’s where Infor can help. We’ve helped a significant number of our 70,000 customers worldwide meet the IFRS requirements. We listen to what our customers tell us and add the new features they need to meet these requirements at their own pace—at the pace their business is growing.

IFRS will have implications across your enterprise, but especially in the accounting practices used in the preparation of financial statements. Infor’s financial solutions are flexible enough to meet a wide range of accounting requirements and practices. These solutions can handle the transition to IFRS and the requirement to support multiple representations of the same accounting standards, automatically.
