Believe it or not, April 12 marked the 20 year anniversary of the Gartner research note that introduced “Enterprise Resource Planning” to the world. I was surprised that the research giant allowed this milestone to pass without reflecting on how the introduction and widespread adoption of ERP changed the enterprise software landscape— and made a lot of money for the research industry, too. ...more
