Department of Canadian Heritage launches Infor Iguana
The Department of Canadian Heritage recently launched Infor’s Iguana integrated website and discovery portal. Iguana provides the public and departmental staff across Canada with an easy intuitive bi-lingual means of locating relevant resources.
The Department of Canadian Heritage is responsible for formulating and implementing cultural policies related to copyright, foreign investment and broadcasting, as well as policies related to arts, heritage, official languages, sports, state ceremonial and protocol, and Canadian symbols. The Department's main activities involve funding community and other third-party organizations to promote the benefits of culture, identity, and sport for Canadians.
The role of Library Services at the Knowledge Centre is to provide high-quality value-added research and information services that support the mission, strategic objectives and programs of Canadian Heritage. The Knowledge Centre provides ILL, periodicals routing, lending, research and references services to its clients.
