Infor is a leader again in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for EAM. Why does that matter?
In the Gartner 2019 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Asset Management, Infor has been named a Leader and highest in the ability to execute. This is Infor’s third consecutive appearance in the Leader quadrant.
We are excited to share this news and understand that you might be thinking, “So? How does this impact me?” Let’s explore that question.
Organizations worldwide rely on Gartner, the world’s leading research and advisory company, to provide guidance on software investments. In 2019, Gartner was included in Fortune’s annual list of the world’s most admired companies. So if you’ve been charged with researching and justifying a software purchase, information from Gartner is likely to be a respected part of your arsenal.
Gartner annually assesses the enterprise asset management market (among others) and its software providers. The firm evaluates vendors on two overarching criteria: “Ability to execute” and “Completeness of vision,” each of which includes multiple assessment criteria that are thoroughly defined in the Magic Quadrant report. Those companies that rank highly in both categories are placed in the Leader quadrant of the report.
Per Gartner, key characteristics of Leaders include “broad and deep EAM offerings, proven success in moderate- to high-complexity environments, participation in a high percentage of new deals, a strong and consistent track record, high customer satisfaction ratings in multiple categories, consistent performance and vigorous client growth and retention, enduring visibility in the marketplace from both sales and marketing perspectives, a proven ecosystem of partners, and a global scale.”
Many organizations are beginning to look at their maintenance departments as competitive differentiators rather than cost centers. As you move along the spectrum from reactive to preventive to predictive maintenance, transformation to digital tools is essential to help support your strategy.
Infor’s asset management solution has been named a Leader for three years in a row. Infor CloudSuite EAM is robust asset management software that can help organizations digitize and optimize maintenance operations. The solution supports specialized requirements for asset and work management, materials and procurement management, budget and inspection management, and project and safety management.
To organizations looking to expand or replace their current asset and work management solution, or considering modernizing their solution, the Gartner Magic Quadrant may seem like a single data point. This particular data point, however, is a weighty one. The authors of this report have been writing and consulting on this technology for decades. Their opinions are based on a perspective of solution innovation and market evolution over a very long and technologically disruptive period.
“In a product whose first line of code was from 1986, we are excited to see that our focus on innovation and customer satisfaction continues to be recognized in the global market,” says Kevin Price, Technical Product Evangelist for CloudSuite EAM. “We feel that our ongoing leadership position in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant validates what we have done, are doing, and will be doing in this portfolio for many, many years to come. The future is bright for Infor CloudSuite EAM and its global community.”
