New Infor CloudSuite FSM status page eliminates outage confusion

Have you ever received a service outage notification, just to log in and find the site up and running? I have.

Technical teams spend a lot of time communicating service outages to customers and colleagues. But the status changes so fast, in some cases, the time spent communicating exceeds the time it takes for restoration. As product owner of Infor CloudSuite Self-Service Portal, I have been in the midst of communicating a service interruption just to find out the site was back up.

Now we have a solution to the status confusion.

We are introducing a status page: to streamline these stressful outage events, and keep the focus on restoration activities. This status page initially is serving only Infor CloudSuite Financials & Supply Management, but will expand soon to cover other CloudSuites.

A status page is important for our users. It helps to provide focus for Infor teams, allows for urgent feedback to users, and builds the relationship with Infor.

The status page currently offers the features that everyone is most interested in:

  1. Overall status of subscription service
  2. At-a-glance status of core services by region
  3. Subscriptions to provide notification via email or SMS/Text of service status changes
  4. Visibility to historical incident detail
