Preview of 2020 International Women's Day
International Women’s Day (IWD) is March 8. It is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The theme this year is #EachforEqual. An equal world is an enabled world.
Infor has a long-standing commitment to inclusion and diversity, including gender equity. Our first Infor employee network was Women’s Infor Network (WIN), now over 2,000 participants strong.
Here is a preview of some of the things to watch for this week and next:
Social media. We will be highlighting through social media several outstanding Infor women and their contributions. We invite you to share your posts, too, showing your support of women and gender equality. Globally, Inforians will be using the IWD pose of hands outstretched like an equal sign to show their support of Each for Equal.
At an International Women’s Day (IWD) kick-off lunch at the Infor UK office, Anne Corbin, Chief Customer Officer International, Frank Resink, SVP Consulting practice + WIN Executive Sponsor, and Diane Connolly, Senior Legal Director + WIN UK Facilitator, strike the official #EachforEqual pose.
Regional events. Several events are being held by regional WIN chapters, ranging from panel discussions to luncheons and networking opportunities. Several regions are also holding community outreach programs, inviting young women and students to learn more about careers in technology.
