Save the Young Heart 5K inspires big group from Infor India
5K runs are a great workout and an excellent chance to build camaraderie for a team. Running one for a meaningful cause makes the experience even better.
An incredible 275 Inforians and 40 more Infor volunteers took part in the Save The Young Heart 5K Run on September 29. Starting at 6:30 AM at Gachibowli Stadium outside of Hyderabad, attendees received breakfast and a t-shirt with their tickets before the event inauguration kicked off the festivities. Many of the participants spent the morning running with their teams, and everyone received a medal upon completion.
This campaign was developed mainly due to the passion of founder Dr. Anand Agarwal and his desire to serve society. Save the Young Heart provides science-based, national objectives for addressing the coronary artery disease epidemic among young adults. Heart health is determined not only by biological and genetic factors, but also by environmental, social and behavioral determinants. Save the Young Heart aims to create awareness among young adults about these factors, spark an interest to learn more about healthy living, and inspire them to take action.
Infor supported the event as a Gold-level sponsor, and in addition to the runners, our Infor traffic volunteers were trained and registered with the local traffic police to help direct participants throughout the 5K. Sense of community is one of Infor’s core values, and this event was another great opportunity for our extended team to give back to a worthy cause.
Cheers to everyone who participated, and thank you for helping make the world a better place along the way.
