Lynn Sauder, Vice President Global Alliance and Channels, and Salena Butler, Vice President of Channel Sales, have been named 2016 CRN® Women of the Channel.
The women executives who comprise this annual list span the IT channel, representing vendors, distributors, solution providers and other organizations that figure prominently in the channel ecosystem. Each is recognized for her outstanding leadership, vision, and unique role in driving channel growth and innovation.
CRN editors select the Women of the Channel honorees based on their professional accomplishments, demonstrated expertise and ongoing dedication to the IT channel.
"The Infor Partner Network has seen tremendous momentum over the past year, much of which can be attributed to Infor's commitment to partner programs. But none of this would be possible without the hard work of our dedicated team members as well. Lynn Sauder and Salena Butler are invaluable members of our team and are greatly deserving of this recognition," said Jeff Abbott, Infor senior vice president of Global Alliance and Channels.
"The breakout momentum in FY16 has been around cloud adoption by our alliance community. My team and I built an Infor CloudSuite specialization that requires partners to invest in building their Infor CloudSuite skills through prescriptive training, regular review of all active implementation projects, and successful customer project go-lives. Our alliance community will hit our goal of 100 CloudSuite implementations by mid-year. This tightly managed element of the alliance program keeps our partners close to Infor so that any project issues are identified and resolved early and quickly, and our customers are assured of successful cloud projects," Sauder told CRN.
This year, Sauder will be transitioning to a new role leading the global Public Sector and EAM alliance and channel business. In this role, she will delve deeper into the industry partner requirements and be more involved in strategic customer opportunities.
"I have a lot of goals to make this next year a great one; however, two of them are of particular importance to me," Butler told CRN. "The first one is to help our partners grow their business in all aspects. The second is to continue to invest in the individuals who work on my team. I have a very talented team who have a passion for what they do. The business we are in is challenging, but it is very rewarding working hand-in-hand with our partners to provide our customers with solutions that improve their businesses. As a manager, I strive to be predictable, consistent, fair, and to lead by example."
Butler also gives advice to young women aspiring to succeed in the workplace: "Work hard early on in your career. The hard work never ends, but if you really focus early on in your career, you set a precedent with yourself and others around you, which can only help you get ahead and stay ahead."
