NEW YORK - Sep 29, 2014
Infor, a leading provider of business application software serving more than 73,000 customers, today announced that TrustFord, the world's largest dedicated Ford dealership and which is wholly owned by Ford Motor Company, has deployed Infor Dynamic Enterprise Performance Management (d/EPM) across its 65 sites in the United Kingdom. The application will help standardize reporting, deliver greater consistency and speed, and facilitate analytics capabilities for better decision-making.
TrustFord's sites previously delivered disparate reports, which led to slow group-level reporting and an inability to make truly like-for-like comparisons between dealerships. As part of a continual improvement program, TrustFord sought to implement a comprehensive business intelligence system for financial performance management and to increase its consistency of reporting. After a review of the market, TrustFord chose Infor d/EPM on the basis of the ease of implementation and lower total cost of ownership (TCO).
TrustFord runs 19 reports daily across the business, including stock levels and a Daily Operational Control (DOC) that summarizes the profit and loss of a given area. Infor d/EPM will help enable these reports to be delivered faster and with greater accuracy. Looking forward, TrustFord plans to be able to deliver the reports via email and via an iOS dashboard to enable the use of iPads.
"We now have a single report and one set of data, to present to senior management," said Jonathan Pilbrow, financial controller, TrustFord. "In a business that is as site-led as ours, the level of consistency d/EPM will deliver is critical to being able to see what is working and what is not. Better visibility means better decisions and because everyone is using the same system, the reports for the directors and regional managers are more consistent and generated faster."
"The retail of high value items such as cars, on such a scale demands accurate and consistent insight into the top and bottom performers throughout an organization," said Jan Gahde, Manager, Product Management BI, Infor. "Reporting needs to be fast, agile and controlled. It has to account for local implementation but be driven and managed centrally. It is this tension between demands that d/EPM addresses by collecting real-time data from source applications, translating it into business insights and delivering reports via a common user interface."
TrustFord is the world's largest, dedicated Ford dealer group, operating a network of 65 sites in the UK. It also operates TrustFordOnline and TrustFirstParts.
TrustFord is part of the Ford Retail Group, wholly owned by Ford Motor Company; operating as an independent dealer group with its own board of directors and operating strategies. TrustFord employs 3,000 staff all of whom have attained, or is working toward, a diploma or NVQ in customer service as part of TrustFord's unique Moments of Truth customer proposition.
TrustFord previously operated under a variety of local brand names including Bourgourd Ford, Brunel Ford, Dagenham Motors, Heartlands Ford, La Motte Ford, Lindsay Ford and Polar Ford, Ford Retail Online, Ford Online Parts and @firstParts Solutions.
