NEW YORK - Jul 08, 2015
Infor, the industry cloud company, today announced that UNC Health Care, a not-for-profit integrated health care system, has selected the Infor Cloverleaf Integration Suite to have more reliable access to data across its network of eight hospitals. With more than 20,000 employees and 3,000 physicians, data integration is key for a successful operation, and Infor Cloverleaf will deliver the tools to exchange health information electronically and securely among physicians, hospitals, health plans, and patients.
UNC Health Care was looking for a partner that had a long and successful history with data integration at large healthcare organizations, with a strong product roadmap. Since UNC Health Care was already running Infor Cloverleaf at two of its hospitals, Margaret R. Pardee Memorial Hospital and High Point Regional, decision-makers were confident that Infor was the right partner to roll out a more modern data integration system across the entire network, and consolidate at the system level with a unified integration engine.
"Infor is a partner that we know can support us as we grow and change, and the company is dedicated to modernizing its solutions so our network stays current with the technology needs of such a demanding, fluctuating industry, " said Mike Plesh, IT Manager, HIE and Data Interfaces, UNC Health Care.
Infor Cloverleaf provides solutions to help customers connect data and meet interoperability requirements to improve data flow. Healthcare organizations, like UNC Health Care, gain a clinical integration and information exchange solution that creates a sustainable foundation for organizations to proactively manage, coordinate, and share data across the care continuum. Modules such as the Global Monitor, Web Services Adaptor, Data Integrator and Secure Courier will allow teams to integrate different formats or systems using a single platform and process, resulting in a reduced development cycle.
"Healthcare systems are consistently challenged with streamlining important clinical, financial, and operational data that is stuck in silos, and are in need of an integration platform that can facilitate the movement of secure data through disparate systems within and outside a healthcare enterprise," said Mike Poling, senior vice president, Healthcare, Infor. "Infor Cloverleaf was designed with the modern healthcare organization in mind to allow for a greater ease of data sharing and connectivity between disparate systems."
