Manufacturers: How to start your journey to the cloud

In a survey of more than 400 enterprise manufacturing leaders in positions that influence the purchase of cloud and cloud-based solutions, 84% are planning or have started the process to implement a cloud-based ERP solution. In the latest research conducted by Enterprise Times and SGA, only 3% were not considering a new ERP solution. The majority (79%) are either procuring, piloting or implementing a new ERP solution within their organisation. This is not merely going through an upgrade process.

Despite the desire to embrace cloud solutions and the promised benefits, there are still hurdles to overcome. There are also still concerns, especially around the difficulty of migrating data from legacy solutions and security.
