Coventry Libraries Moves Forward with Infor
Infor Libraries today announced that Coventry City Council Libraries has deployed its V-smart library management system to help provide an enhanced service for customers and drive efficiencies. V-smart also equips the library with a platform to help deliver additional efficiencies in the future, including the potential to open discussions on shared services.
Following an exercise to ensure that its previous library management system provided value for money, Coventry City Council selected Infor Libraries' V-smart solution. The decision was based on the functionality, flexibility and cost effectiveness of the system, and the fact that it can deliver an enhanced service to customers.
Coventry Library customers can now receive correspondence via e-mail or text message, so they are sent instantaneous notifications when reservations are available or when books are overdue. In addition to providing faster notice to the customer, the reduction of letters also reduces stationery and postage costs.
