Infor, a leading provider of beautiful business applications specialized by industry and built for the cloud, today announced Infor MES - Powered by FORCAM, a new collaboration with FORCAM, a global leader of Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) solutions. As global manufacturing processes, especially in the high-volume automotive industry, become more complex, the need for a state of the art IIOT solution that provides real-time insight and analytics into plant operations by integrating shop floor machine data with top floor ERP data increases. The Infor - FORCAM "shop floor to top floor" solution addresses these challenges by focusing on efficiency and the reduction of machine downtime, through machine learning and advanced analytics.

"Smart Factories, and the Factory of the Future, aren't just buzz words. Our organization is dedicated to using modern technology to not just increase machine utilization but to also reduce downtime, provide fast and efficient trouble-shooting, lower inventory and logistics costs and provide instant availability of key metrics from the shop floor," said Mohamed Abuali, Ph.D, Managing Director Americas, FORCAM Inc. "We are excited about the alignment between Infor and FORCAM because we both have the same vision of what our customers need in a technology partner and what the future of digital transformation of manufacturing looks like."

The combination of powerful ERP solutions like Infor LN and FORCAM's advanced IIOT technology platform and expertise helps organizations manage their network of people, technology, activities, information, and resources more effectively and economically. In addition, the solution helps to digitize and harmonize all manufacturing operations across the global supply chain and enterprise so manufacturers can make better decisions, boost manufacturing excellence, and deliver exceptional levels of customer fulfillment. With Infor MES - Powered by FORCAM, data collected from machines and production lines can be leveraged for detailed analysis of planned versus actual progress, as well as predictive analytics.

"Infor is committed to evolving its advanced manufacturing capabilities. By working with leading organizations, such as FORCAM, we're able to drive our customer's overall business performance more efficiently and quickly," said Jeff Nedwick, automotive product and solution strategy director, Infor. "We are always looking for new ways to ensure our customers have the most modern, data-driven applications, and we will continue to find new ways and partnerships to make their business processes more streamlined."
