Infor Appoints Johan Made as General Manager for the Nordics
Infor, a leading provider of industry-specific cloud applications, today announced the appointment of Johan Made as general manager, Nordics.
As part of his remit Made will oversee a substantial investment in the region including the recruitment of new staff across the Nordics. Infor employee numbers have grown by 23% over the last two years. Infor now employs around 700 people across the region - which includes substantial R&D centres for Infor M3 in Linköping and Kista.
Made will also be focusing on building a successful ‘Infor ecosystem’ – recruiting and defining the specific roles for all players including Infor sales, channel and alliance partners across the Nordics. He also plans to increase investments in training and development for staff and partners to help boost professionalism across all levels of the business to heighten customer success. Ultimately Made wants Infor to be seen as an ultimate destination for employment in the region.
“One of my biggest priorities is focusing on our customers,” said Johan Made, Infor GM for the Nordics. “I’ve a personal mission to get customer deployments live and deriving exceptional value from their investments as soon as possible. Already I’ve seen significant growth in numbers of customers who have decided to deploy their ERP in the cloud including garden retailer Plantagen and Marine Harvest, the world’s largest salmon farmer, based in Norway. It’s this dedication to our customers which will be at the cornerstone to our success.”
Made joins Infor from SAP Sweden where he was managing director, and head of cloud for the Nordic and Baltic region. Made has also been CEO of a cloud-based business process management (BPM) company that has driven digital transformation at various businesses throughout Europe.
Reporting to Cormac Watters, executive vice president and general manager, EMEA and APAC, Made will lead the business unit from Stockholm, Sweden.
Commenting on the appointment, Cormac Watters, said: ‘My overall goal is to truly grow our business in the region based on world class customer success. We continue to position Infor for aggressive growth throughout all of Europe, and the Nordics is a critical part of these plans. Infor has a cloud first strategy and we have a substantial installed base of Infor M3 users in this region, many of them have been early adopters of our cloud ERP technologies, so we are truly excited to make this investment in a market with such active potential. Johan will be a critical figurehead in capitalizing on the digital agenda to accelerate business growth in the face of strong demand here in the Nordics.”
