Jill Strange Named a Top 100 HR Tech Influencer

Canada – April 25, 2019, 09:00 AM

Infor Vice President of HCM Science Applications Jill Strange is being recognized as one of the 100 most influential leaders shaping HR technology in 2019.

Human Resource Executive magazine and HR Technology Conference team have launched the first edition of the Top 100 HR Tech Influencers to honor and introduce the “individuals who have shaped the world of HR technology—and are helping to determine its future.”

Strange is pretty pleased. “There are so many influential people on this list who absolutely dominate the field of HR technology. Being on the same list as people like Josh Bersin and Steve Boese is truly incredible.”

Strange specializes in assessing and growing talent in organizations. “Over the past 15 years, I’ve seen the HR tech market emerge and grow, from the perspective of an industrial and organizational psychologist. When I first started, everything was manual. Over time, our talent processes have become more sophisticated through advances in data, technology, and predictive analytics. We can now scale easily to any level.”

She leads a team of industrial/organizational psychologists, data scientists, and developers. “One thing I am most proud of is that a product our team developed, Infor Team Dynamics, was selected as one of the ‘Awesome New Technologies’ at the annual HR Tech conference in 2017. Team-based analytics have gained quite a bit of traction lately in the HR technology market, so it is exciting to be leading the charge.”

What’s next

Strange and her HCM Science Team are working on several new products:

  • “We are expanding our predictive analytics beyond person-to-job fit into team-based insights. So much of our work life revolves around the people we work with. Giving organizations better insight into how their teams can be more effective can lead to enormous gains for companies.”
  • “We are developing more leadership-based solutions that will help organizations with succession planning and identifying bench strength.”
  • “We are also always working to enhance the Talent Science predictive analytics process and assessment to both increase our level of prediction and improve the candidate experience.”

“I am so fortunate to be part of Infor, because the company recognizes the value of merging data and science with technology, enabling us to build some really innovative products,” she says. “I’m grateful that Infor gives me the opportunity to work with leaders and influencers in the field to share the great work we are doing.”
