Omen High Pressure Die Casting Implementing Infor LN
Infor, a leading provider of beautiful business applications specialized by industry and built for the cloud, today announced that Omen High Pressure Die Casting, a specialized high-pressure die casting company located in Kibbutz Hatzor, Israel, has partnered with the Business Systems Division of Matrix to complete the next phase of the implementation of Infor LN, an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system which is currently expected to go live in the company's Portugal location by October 2016.
Omen High Pressure Die Casting produces high pressure casting assemblies, designed for the automobile industry and the field of fire protection products. The company has sites in Israel, Portugal, Russia and the United States. Licensed Infor LN modules included as part of the project relate to finance, costing, inventory, purchasing, manufacturing, production planning, sales, planning international shipments, electronic data interchange (EDI), maintenance and more. Infor Reporting, a product designed to automatically generate certain reports, and Infor ION, a purpose-built middleware, are also expected to be implemented.
The products are currently expected to serve approximately 60 users in various roles including management, finance, production, purchasing, sales, warehouse and delivery, maintenance and technical staff. The first stage of the project in Israel lasted approximately six months and was completed last July. The next phase of the project, which began recently is currently expected to be complete by October 2016 incorporating the company's factory in Portugal.
"We now have full integration between operational, financial and maintenance activity. Implementation of Infor LN enables the company to work in one centrally controlled web-environment. "Infor LN is a unified computing platform for all applicable company sites, so that everyone can retrieve information quickly and uniformly."
"There are integrated work support systems for bookings and shipping instructions from customers using EDI tools built into the ERP system. Also, the production planning system can support multi-mills, shipping and warehouse management," added Ronen.
"The implementation of the Infor ERP system can provide support for all implicated processes of the organization's current and currently projected parameters. By using Infor LN, users can perform more precise planning of inventory, resource management and help control production processes and service quality," said Rotem Sapir, Director of Business Solutions Business Systems Division of Matrix. "The system offers in-depth functionality with enterprise management systems and connectivity tools. It allows the implementation of a more comprehensive and easier to use HTML5-based user interface, which allows users to access the system from computers, tablets or smart phones."
He concluded by saying that the ERP system has been translated into Hebrew.
