A new era of user interface and intelligence in Infor CloudSuite Industrial

Supply chain volatility, workforce change, and rapid artificial intelligence (AI) advances don’t wait, and neither can your teams. Manufacturing professionals don’t have time to hunt for information. They need clarity the moment they open their screen, and the confidence to act on what they see. The latest release of Infor CloudSuite™ Industrial is built around exactly that idea.

This release brings together role-based workspaces, modernized forms, and embedded AI that works natively with your data, not alongside it. The result is a platform that feels less like enterprise software and more like a precision tool built for how manufacturers actually work.

A unified experience built for how manufacturers work

At the heart of this evolution is a focus on role-based, action-oriented experiences. New Workspaces and Hub views bring key performance indicators (KPIs), exceptions, trends, and recommended actions into one intuitive interface, so teams spend less time navigating and more time executing.

Whether an engineering manager is driving change orders, a production supervisor is tracking job execution, or a quality leader is monitoring open exceptions, the platform now puts the most relevant information front and center, without requiring users to build it themselves.

Less time navigating. Fewer context switches. Faster decisions that move the business forward.

Role-based workspaces that turn data into decisions

Workspaces are purpose-built for each manufacturing persona. Instead of starting with a generic dashboard that requires configuration, each role lands on a view that’s already organized around its priorities.

Out-of-the-box workspaces are available for Engineering Managers, Production Managers, Quality Managers, Buyers, and Executives, each surfacing the signals and actions that matter most to that role:

  • Role-specific KPIs such as work in progress (WIP), on-time delivery, open purchase orders (POs), quality holds, and margin
  • Exceptions and alerts, including late orders, shortages, capacity constraints, and supplier delays
  • Actionable worklists that prioritize approvals, releases, and corrective actions
  • Fast drilldowns from summary view to transaction detail for root-cause analysis
  • Insight-to-action flow across desktop and mobile for last-mile execution on the shop floor

The workspace above shows how an Engineering Manager sees the signals most relevant to the role. For example, 119 NPD tasks past due, 228 ECN follow-ups, team performance by assignee, and direct Review buttons for past-due overdue items, all without an extra navigation step.

Workspaces also adapt to the individual, not just the role. Here is the same Engineering Manager workspace with the same structure for a different user, but with personalized data:

These capabilities are designed to reflect how industrial manufacturers actually operate across the shop floor to front office, rather than retrofitting generic enterprise software for industry-specific needs.

For most users, forms are where real work happens, and Infor CloudSuite Industrial is improving that experience without disrupting the workflows teams already know.

Through Infor Design System (IDS) modernization and redesigned Hub form layouts, transactions are easier to scan and complete. Key details, related records, and next actions are presented in a more task-focused way:

  • Clearer hierarchy and smarter use of space, so critical fields and statuses are visible at a glance
  • Improved filtering, search, and query tools to find the right records faster
  • Consistent IDS controls (buttons, fields, grids, and interaction patterns) across all modules
  • Most-used actions kept close to the information that drives them, reducing back-and-forth
  • Related records shown in context, simplifying onboarding for new users and daily work for experienced users

The before-and-after contrast is significant. Legacy forms featured dense layouts and inconsistent styling that made it easy to miss key information. Modernized forms use space more intentionally to improve clarity, findability, and speed without changing the underlying logic users rely on.

Left: Legacy Infor CloudSuite Industrial form (Before: dense layout, inconsistent spacing, and limited visual hierarchy),

Right: Modernized form with cleaner spacing, clear section hierarchy, and task-focused actions (After: same workflow, sharper execution).

Hub views extend this approach by combining transaction details with real-time metrics and next actions in a single, task-focused layout. Examples include the Inventory Hub (Engineering View), Production Hub (Job Order View), and Quality Hub (QC Vendor View).

AI that works where decisions get made

The most meaningful difference between AI that helps and AI that adds noise is context. With this release, Infor CloudSuite Industrial expands its GenAI-driven capabilities around a key principle: Intelligence should be embedded in the workflow, not bolted on from the outside.

This isn’t a standalone AI tool. Its intelligence is grounded in live ERP data, surfaced exactly where decisions get made.

Figure 6: The GenAI Assistant is embedded directly in Infor CloudSuite Industrial. It uses live ERP data and the existing security model to summarize work orders and surface exceptions in plain language.

Using the platform’s existing security model and live transactional data, the GenAI Assistant allows users to summarize work orders, analyze exceptions, and surface insights, all without leaving the current task or opening a separate tool. Responses are accurate and contextual because they’re grounded in the same data the team already works with.

62%

Gartner forecasts that by 2027, 62% of ERP application spending will be on solutions with embedded AI capabilities, up from just 14% in 2024.

With persona-based GenAI and AI agents, intelligence shows up where work happens. Users can explore trends, identify issues before they escalate, and move from insight to action faster, all within the flow of their normal workday. The experience becomes proactive rather than reactive by helping teams: anticipate issues, highlight opportunities, and guide next steps in real time.

5th consecutive year

Infor has been named a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Cloud ERP for Product-Centric Enterprises for the fifth consecutive year. Gartner forecasts that by 2027, 60% of customers replacing ERP applications will select software for platform and business process orchestration capabilities as critical requirements, along with transactional capabilities.

Making AI practical with Infor Velocity Suite

Embedded AI creates value if teams can adopt it in practical ways. That’s where Infor Velocity Suite comes in, helping manufacturers activate and scale AI capabilities in ways that align with Infor CloudSuite Industrial data and workflows.

Rather than introducing disconnected tools, Infor Velocity Suite works natively with the platform, using its data model and business processes as the foundation. It combines:

  • Process mining to reveal how work actually flows across the platform and where friction exists
  • Prebuilt AI-driven automations (Infor Value+) to remove repetitive friction in daily tasks
  • Persona-based GenAI for conversational access to live Infor CloudSuite Industrial data
  • Expert-guided delivery to help customers adopt innovation quickly and confidently

Infor™ handles the heavy lifting on the backend. It packages AI into ready-to-use capabilities, so innovation shows up directly in the user experience—enhancing usability, efficiency, and confidence without disruption.
