Infor's strategy for growth centers on product innovation; improving partner relationships is also key, reports Reseller Middle East online magazine.
Jeevan Thankappan of Reseller Middle East-the region's leading publication for the channel partner community-caught up with CEO Charles Phillips during Infor on the Road's recent stop in Paris. In a Nov. 5 article, "Blueprint for Growth," he digests Infor's roadmap for the future.
He quotes Phillips: " 'Becoming more focused on innovation of products and applications was the crucial next step for us. We've been doing that for the last two years. …'
"Phillips believes that the major differentiator that separates Infor from its competitors is the fact that it doesn't have any across-the-board solution, but instead focuses on specializing individual network solutions for each vertical.
" 'We have a far broader product portfolio than people realize; we want them to see the breadth of that," (Phillips) says. 'Our footprint is complete.' "
Phillips discusses the ease and flexibility of Infor's next-generation integration platform, ION. He also asserts that the monolithic ERP era is over, and we are now in the Internet era.
Mike Hibbert, channel manager, MENA, Infor, tells Thankappan: " 'The innovation and progress will benefit the Middle East as well.' " Hibbert says Infor has big plans for the region. Major renovations are being made to the Dubai-based office to accommodate additional Infor staff who will be dedicated to assisting regional partners to succeed.
