Infor and employees raised more than $72,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through two Light the Night Walks.
On Sept. 22 and Oct. 13, co-workers, friends and family came together to support the LLS North Metro and Atlanta chapters' Light the Night Walks, an annual fundraiser held in communities across the United Stated and Canada that aims to bring help and hope to people battling blood cancers.
"Infor is proud to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk," says Jeff Abbott, Infor VP of global alliances and channels, pictured above with Kelly Dolan, executive director of the LLS Georgia Chapter. "As a member of the Light the Night executive team, I was thrilled with the personal investment of our Atlanta employees to make these events successful. Thank you, all."
Approximately 80 members of the Infor Alpharetta Operations Center participated in the two-mile walk through downtown Cumming and Centennial Olympic Park, spending weeks before the event collecting donations to support the LLS mission. Funds raised individually by the Infor team and generous corporate donations will be used to support lifesaving blood cancer research, provide free educational materials and events for patients and their families, support local programs such as family support groups and deliver comprehensive, personalized assistance through the LLS Information Resource Center.
"Infor is a company committed to giving back to the communities in which we work, live, and play," said Charles Phillips, CEO of Infor. "I'm thankful to work alongside such truly generous individuals who gave not only their personal funds but personal time in order to support the LLS mission of curing blood cancer."
