Agentic hospitality is the use of AI agents to carry out specific operational and administrative activities on a property. Traditional AI sees what’s happening in your data from moment to moment and suggests smart actions. Agentic AI uses this information to coordinate a response – within your established processes, industry business rules, and any other boundaries you define. In some cases, this means routing to a person to take the final action themselves, such as resolving a complaint.
An AI agent, is a focused software assistant that watches a specific condition, weighs it against the rules it's been given, and acts if needed. Agentic AI is what happens when multiple agents work together across departments and systems toward a common goal. In hospitality, this may take the form of resolving a room-block conflict for an event booking, adjusting menu availability when an item is running low, or adjusting ticket prices when a concert is almost sold out.
