What happens when customers, partners, and Infor™ employees turn real-world challenges into working solutions? The 2026 Infor Community Hackathon provides a compelling answer.
Now in its third year, the Hackathon brought together 378 contestants from around the world, representing 88 teams across the customer, partner and Infor employee tracks. Thirty-two teams advanced to the final build phase, where they developed working solutions with access to Infor tools and tenants, along with training and guidance from mentors.
Teams tackled challenges with real operational impact, from industry artificial intelligence (AI) and agentic workflows to decision intelligence, compliance and risk, customer and employee experience, process orchestration and internal productivity. Their solutions were evaluated for innovation, business value, technical execution, user experience, adoptability and presentation.
The winning projects across the three tracks show how AI and automation can address practical operational challenges. Let’s meet the teams behind them and explore the solutions they built.
Project: Smart Service Planning
Challenge: Infor customer Interduct maintains domestic ventilation units for tenants and homeowners. Customers traditionally call or email to change or cancel appointments, and the team estimates that no one is home for 30% to 40% of visits. Planners also build schedules largely based on their own judgement and past experience—which leaves room for error in scheduling.
Solution: Brothers Johan de Jong and Bram de Jong from Interduct created Smart Service, which connects customer self-service with route planning. Customers use a QR code to confirm or reschedule appointments, while a service optimiser proposes schedules based on service area, skills, vehicle availability and travel distance. Planners compare the proposal with the current schedule and retain final control.
The solution could save roughly 900 hours of manual planning each year while helping reduce wasted trips, emissions and no-shows.
Project: Smart Warehouse Receiving—Automated Truck Check-In to Putaway
Working across five time zones and three continents, Team Mashfrog WMS, representing Infor partner Mashfrog, reimagined inbound warehouse receiving. The team included Colton Andrade, Daniel Hagerman, Ricardo Herrera, Alyssa Libon, Giuseppe Pascale and Saul Serrano.
Challenge: Receiving a shipment requires several manual steps—identifying the truck, locating its shipment record, assigning a dock, entering packing-list information and verifying pallets. These steps can cause delays, errors and slower receiving.
Solution: Smart Warehouse Receiving automates the journey from gate to put-away. Infor GenAI reads vehicle details, and an AI agent matches the truck to its shipment and dock. Packing list and pallet images are then checked against expected records. Matching pallets are automatically received in Infor WMS, while exceptions return to the standard manual process.
The team demonstrated the complete workflow with a functioning 3D-printed scale model of a warehouse. The win follows Team Mashfrog Pink’s first-place finish in the 2025 Infor Community Hackathon partner track.
Project: APS Advisor—What-If Automation for CSI
Challenge: Production planners need to answer a deceptively simple question—can we deliver this order on time? Comparing overtime, shift changes, sequencing or supplier options can require evaluating multiple scenarios and trade-offs across delivery dates, costs and margins.
Solution: Returning team members Marcello Martins and Brian Barbato were joined this year by Max Fisher to create the APS Advisor. Planners describe a change using natural language, and the agent evaluates its potential effect on delivery dates, costs and margins, so they can compare options and protect customer commitments.
One of the team’s biggest hurdles was connecting live planning data with the AI agent, a challenge they worked through with plenty of trial, error and iteration. The victory improved on the team’s third place finish the previous year.
Turning experimentation into practical innovation
These three teams took first place, but other finalists also tackled recruiting automation, shop-floor execution, AI-guided enterprise resource planning (ERP) migration, intelligent procurement, WMS and process automation. Together, these projects show what people closest to a business problem can create when they have the right tools and room to experiment. This is the heart of the Infor Community Hackathon: Moving ideas from a wish list or backlog into working prototypes that solve tangible business problems others can see, test and build on.
Congratulations to Team Interduct, Team Mashfrog WMS, Team Agentic 007 and all the 2026 Infor Community Hackathon finalists. Thank you for a great year of innovation.
