The Agentic Enterprise

While Others Are Talking, Infor Is Doing

In 1939, GM took the stage at the World's Fair and promised self-driving cars would be a reality by 1960. The crowd was amazed. The vision was compelling. And 86 years later, though we may be eager to jump in a Waymo, most of us are still driving ourselves to work.

The enterprise software industry has a favorite pastime: announcing the future. Infor has a different one: building it. Organizations today face real challenges that require real solutions — and that's exactly where Infor is focused and already delivering for our customers.

Let's Talk About the Agentic Enterprise

Not the concept. Not the keynote version. The real version that appears when a truckload of tomatoes arrives at a food manufacturer 18 kilograms short of expectation and the system decides in real time, based on the supplier’s history, whether to dispute the shortage or absorb it. The real version that spots a delayed purchase order, finds the best available supplier that will still meet the original date, and creates a new PO, all without the procurement manager leaving the chat window.

The agentic enterprise is what happens when AI doesn't just assist humans, it operates alongside them because it understands the context and precision needed for your industry. Agentic AI reflects intelligent automation and its ability to create immediate value, out-of-the-box, for your organization is a function of one thing: industry knowledge.

Following the recent Infor Analyst Innovation Summit Michael Ni, Vice President and Principal Analyst Constellation Research, reflected on his interaction with an Infor customer. “I met with the discrete manufacturer and they were talking about the fact that they were able to get into, not just the process and understand the process mining aspect of it, but they took a multi-object view, so they can actually look at how the process, the PO, and the affect by vendor are affecting their downstream process from being able to hit their SLAs. How are they able to do this within three weeks of going live on it? It is because the data was actually there. The process and the models were actually already baked into the platform, and that gets into that level of vertical integration.”

Industry context is your competitive advantage. No one owns it like Infor

Here’s the structural problem that cannot be solved with bolt-on industry add-ons. Horizontal solutions require heavy customization or partner IP to address the industry-specific, last-mile requirements that matter most and make the biggest impact. Here’s what gets lost in the big platform narratives: a purchasing agent at a healthcare provider and one at an automotive manufacturer are not the same agent. They shouldn’t be. The workflows are different. The compliance requirements are different. The terminology is different. The KPIs that matter are different. Generic AI doesn't know the difference. Bolting an industry layer onto a horizontal platform and calling it industry AI isn't the answer.

Infor solutions are built for industry with industry-specific workflows and data flows baked into core business processes that address the specific microvertical industry requirements. We’re talking about critical processes specific to a dairy manufacturer versus a bread baker. A system that can help a luxury car manufacturer deliver customization down to the color of the seat stitching as well as it can address the needs of a furniture wholesaler or a car parts distributor. Agents that help manufacturers avoid production delays by identifying material shortages before they happen. All because Infor solutions are designed with industry specificity at their foundation.

Just ask Coram, a Netherlands-based manufacturer who are reducing reliance on temporary labor, stabilizing operations during demand spike and realizing a 25% reduction in travel distance.

Industry specificity is not a feature. Nor is it additive functionality that requires customization costing time, money, and long-term maintenance risk just to get you where Infor starts: with out-of-the-box industry expertise. Deep industry expertise extends across our solutions and our organization — experts embedded across product development, delivery, and enablement, shaping the product from the inside. While others in the market are focusing on addressing the masses by appealing to the lowest common denominator, Infor focuses on supporting you.

According to the 2026 Gartner® Introducing ERX, the Intelligent and Autonomous Next Generation of ERP: “Depending on an organization’s business model, there will be two distinct ERX paths — one where autonomy scales through process determinism, the other where it scales through contextual intelligence — and any vendor assuming a single ERX blueprint will underserve half the market.”

Making the Agentic Enterprise Real

The question isn't whether the agentic enterprise is real. It's how you get there. Infor Velocity Suite is the simplest path to achieving value with AI and making the agentic enterprise real. Embedded within Infor’s cloud solutions, Velocity Suite offers you a package of experienced industry AI agents, process mining, enterprise automations, GenAI, and insights, and data alongside the critical services that help you every step of the way. It gives you the levers to activate, accelerate, augment, and automate AI across your business — and innately addresses the four key elements that enable you to become an agentic enterprise:

One: Precise agents that carry industry knowledge from the moment they're deployed
Intelligence requires context. The large language models at the core of every enterprise AI platform, such as Claude, Gemini, GPT, are remarkable. They are also, in their base form, industry-agnostic. In the agentic enterprise, your agents need to know what to do, how to intelligently navigate decisions, and take the appropriate next steps based on your specific business context.

Infor Industry AI Agents are trained on the same 25 years of industry-specific knowledge embedded into each Infor CloudSuite. They're built on Industry Process Catalogs and ontologies that encode the specific workflows, KPIs, terminology, and compliance requirements of your industry, whether that's a distributor optimizing on-time-in-full, a food and beverage manufacturer managing production yield, or a healthcare system navigating procurement compliance. 60+ micro-verticals. Out-of-the-box. Not configured after the fact. Built in from the start.

Turtle, a global leader in electrical distribution, provides one of the industry’s most comprehensive ranges of services and solutions. In a consolidating distribution market where margin pressure is high, Turtle realized a 1.3% margin gain and 98% faster quote turnaround through AI automation. “It’s such an eloquent solution to a complex problem,” says Brian Fitzgerald, SVP of Digital Operations at Turtle.

Two: Adaptive User Experience
The future of enterprise UX is not another screen. It's meeting people where they are and serving them the information and insights they need to make the right decisions at the right time. Infor's Industry AI Agents within the ERP are accessible through conversational windows because they are embedded directly in the applications where work happens today, and adaptable to where the work may happen tomorrow. Your employees engage with them through a natural language chat interface that lets them delegate tasks, adjust the level of autonomy they're comfortable with, and receive outcomes, not workflows.

We believe that your ERP should never be the catalyst of limitation, but your gateway to agility, resilience and a source of growth. The insights and capabilities of an adaptive user experience are only as rich as the foundation on which they sit. This is meeting customers where they are.

Three: End-to-end agent orchestration — not isolated task automation
This is where it gets real. The enterprise software landscape includes a growing number of platforms that would prefer you to think the only path to AI value runs through their ecosystem. The reality is that your architecture is a carefully designed aggregation of systems and solutions that are right for your organization. That is why Infor's architecture is built differently. Our agents can run in third-party orchestration platforms, and third-party agents can run in ours.

Individual agents that handle discrete tasks are useful, but useful is not enough. The Infor Agentic Orchestrator coordinates agents across complete processes, such as a supplier agent talking to a distributor agent talking to a warehousing agent, completing the end-to-end workflow autonomously, surfacing exceptions when humans need to weigh in, and handing off cleanly when they don't. Our Agentic Orchestrator communicates via open Model Context Protocol (MCP). Our platform choice — Amazon Bedrock with Anthropic's Claude as primary reasoning model, allowing the right model for every task, at the right cost, without being locked into a single vendor's roadmap.

After a recent briefing on this same topic, Robert Kramer, previously V.P & Principle Analyst at Moor Insights & Strategy and current managing partner of KramerERP, shared on LinkedIn that transforming systems of record into systems of action raises the stakes and a flawed dashboard can be ignored, but a flawed autonomous decision can stop a production line. Getting it right requires two things upfront: industry context so agents understand how the business actually runs, and a composable platform so agents work from complete data, not partial signals. This reinforces exactly why Infor's architecture, built on industry specificity from the ground up, starts from a stronger position than approaches that bolt on industry logic after the fact.

Four: Security and governance baked in — not bolted on
Trust. It’s fundamental to all relationships and never something Infor takes lightly. In fact, it’s fundamental to how Infor approaches the Agentic Enterprise. Our AI governance is built on transparency, telling you exactly how AI models are developed, trained, and used. No customer data is used to train models. No opaque black boxes. Every agent action is auditable. We call it trustworthy AI. The market is starting to call it a requirement.

Your Journey to the Agentic Enterprise begins with Infor Velocity Suite

Here's the honest version too many vendors gloss over: getting to the agentic enterprise isn't a single purchase. It's a journey that meets you where you are. As Gartner noted in their recent research on the evolution of ERP to ERX: "The journey from ad hoc ERP to autonomous ERX is not a technology upgrade path — it is a strategic transformation of how organizations use data, automate decisions, and align their core operating systems with business outcomes." That transformation is exactly what Infor Velocity Suite is built to deliver.

Diagnose: Before you automate anything, you need to know where the value is hiding. Infor's process mining capabilities are built on industry-specific process catalogs that define what "best practice" actually looks like in your industry and give you a structured view of where your processes deviate from standard, where bottlenecks live, and which exceptions are costing you the most. One customer found their on-time delivery was declining, drilled into their process data, and discovered the root cause was a receiving bottleneck. The same finding that would have taken weeks of traditional analysis to locate arrived in hours.

Automate: Once you know where the problems are, Infor Industry AI Agents handle them by encoding the actual decision logic that a skilled human in your industry would apply. If our existing 100+ use cases don't address the exact problem your organization faces, our forward-deployed engineers will sit with you to work on the solution in real-time. That's the experience the Zahid Group had. They deployed agents for accounts receivable management, using agents to surface overdue customers, identify open orders, flag credit risk, and generate dunning letters in the customer's language and cultural context.

Optimize: Automation isn't a one-time event. Infor's continuous monitoring agents keep watching after the first fix and flag new deviations, surface emerging patterns, and recommend the next round of improvements. The goal isn't a better process on go-live day, but a process that gets measurably better every month.

This is Infor Velocity Suite, the industry's only fully bundled agentic AI offering with flat pricing. Our own research found that 87% of business leaders say predictable pricing is critical to long-term AI investment. Velocity Suite is priced as a subscription — agents, orchestration, and managed services included, no consumption pricing cliff, no expiration date. Tiffany McCormick Research Director, AI Monetization, Pricing Strategies, and Business Models for IDC observed that Infor "has taken an interesting angle to making sure customers can understand and predict their prices." That angle is intentional. Enterprises that can't model their AI cost over 36 months won't commit. We removed that barrier.

And then there's the delivery model. As your committed partner, Infor Velocity Suite supports customers with CareFor Managed Services, a dedicated team that stays with customers through go-live and beyond, co-building use cases, refining agent behavior, and connecting outcomes to the KPIs that boards actually track.

Your Journey, Your Way

The agentic enterprise is achievable for organizations who partner with a vendor willing to do the work to get them there. Not by pontificating on a big stage. Not by offering free trials that expire December 31.

The agentic enterprise is achievable with Infor and our industry-specific agents that are live, available through a commercial model built for the long term, and supported by managed services to ensure you achieve value — not just activation.

There’s no question that it is exciting to dream about what the future holds. But it is so much more rewarding to live it.

The journey to the agentic enterprise starts now. Infor's customers are already on it.
