What we saw at HITEC

Every year, the Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC) brings together hospitality professionals from around the world to explore what’s next in hotel technology. This year’s event in San Antonio was no exception.

While overall attendance was lower than in previous years, the conversations were more meaningful than ever. Rather than focusing on volume, attendees were looking for practical solutions, real innovation, and technology that can help solve today’s operational challenges.

AI was everywhere, but not all AI is the same

Artificial intelligence (AI) dominated nearly every conversation at HITEC 2026. From operations and guest engagement to revenue management and employee productivity, everyone wanted to understand how AI can deliver real business value.

At the Infor™ booth, we introduced our next-generation agentic AI platform, tentatively named “Infor Portico.” Attendees got an early look at how AI can become an active participant in hospitality operations, rather than simply generating content or answering questions. Portico works with what you already have. No rip-and-replace.

The response was overwhelmingly positive. Customers, partners, and management groups were eager to learn more, and many requested follow-up demonstrations after seeing what’s possible. While we’ll be sharing more details in the future, it’s exciting to see the enthusiasm building around what’s next.

Meaningful conversations across hospitality

Throughout the week, our hospitality specialists met with customers representing hotels, casinos, resorts, and management companies from around the world.

Discussions centered on topics such as:

  • Improving operational efficiency
  • Simplifying day-to-day workflows
  • Supporting staff with smarter technology
  • Creating better guest experiences
  • Preparing for the next generation of AI-powered hospitality

These conversations continue to shape how we evolve our solutions and prioritize future innovation.

Showcasing the complete hospitality platform

Visitors had the opportunity to explore the breadth of the Infor Hospitality portfolio through guided demonstrations with our product experts, including:

  • Infor Hospitality Management Solution (HMS)
  • Infor Revenue Management System (RMS)
  • Infor Portico: Hospitality Agentic AI
  • Infor Sales and Catering Solution (SCS)
  • Infor Point of Sale (POS)
  • Infor Hospitality Analytics and Insights (HAI)

Interactive demonstrations, videos, and product showcases allowed attendees to experience how these solutions work together to support hospitality organizations across their operations.

Looking ahead

Events like HITEC remind us that hospitality technology continues to evolve rapidly, but the goal remains the same: helping organizations operate more efficiently while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, attended a demo, or shared your ideas with our team. We appreciate the conversations and look forward to continuing them in the coming months. As Infor Portico continues to evolve, we'll be sharing more along the way and are excited to bring you along on the journey.
