Future Pipe rolled out Infor CloudSuite Industrial Enterprise across 62 companies in 14 countries in just 11 months
Future Pipe Industries has won the Best Technology Implementation - Manufacturing award for its deployment of Infor CloudSuite Industrial Enterprise across 62 companies in 14 countries in just 11 months. The award was presented during the Tahawultech.com Future Enterprise Awards 2022 ceremony, hosted by the CPI Media Group, at Jumeirah Mina A’Salam, Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai, on Oct 10, the first day of the GITEX Global conference.
“Receiving this award is a true honour, but we wouldn’t have succeeded without a responsive Infor management and collaborative consulting team,” said Saeed Halal, vice president of business systems at Future Pipe Industries. “Over the years, they have been fully immersed in our business and joined every effort with the Future Pipe Industries’ team to walk the extra mile and make things happen. It is a truly global achievement.”
Established in 1984 in Dubai, UAE, Future Pipe Industries has a proven history of over 35 years in designing, manufacturing, and installing composite piping solutions for use across oil & gas, industrial, water, and marine & offshore industries. It has built a reputation for delivering engineering excellence and value to its customers.
Future Pipe had been using an old on-premises version of Infor Baan ERP for the past 18 years. To address emerging business challenges, Future Pipe chose the Infor CloudSuite technology. Project goals included:
- Introduce technology to enable end-to-end integrated global businesses operations.
- Simplify the project and order management supply chain process of a highly customizable product based on customers’ requirements.
- Increase administrative efficiency through a point-to-point integrated suite of applications, eliminating human error and reducing costs of the product configuration process.
- Improve customer service.
“The enterprise software industry has been renowned for over-selling but, at Infor, we have a mantra: Sell what you can deliver; then deliver what you sell,” said Salem Machaka, vice president of Infor Consulting Services. “In Future Pipe Industries, we have a long-standing customer of nearly 20 years, and we have grown together over this time. We’ve continually supported them from their transition from a traditional on-premises ERP to the very latest in delivering a multi-tenant cloud platform for 500 users across 14 countries — all fully supported by our global partner AWS. This award is the ultimate recognition of a winning partnership between Future Pipe Industries, Infor and AWS.”
Transforming the business
Future Pipe’s migration to Infor CloudSuite Industrial Enterprise has enabled the company to simplify all activities and benefit from significant administrative cost savings. The technology enabled FPI to build a predictable cost model that is key in markets with risks of mitigations. FPI now has business continuity with reduced risk and is able to provide customers with immediate access to pertinent information and shorter response time. The Infor CloudSuite provides the technology stack and functionality needed to future proof the business.
