To honor the Year of the Nurse and caregivers everywhere, Infor nurses are sharing their thoughts on patient care, technology and the art of the human connection in an Infor Blog series this month. Infor Healthcare has many registered nurses on the team, who now answer the call to care through technology.
The World Health Organization (WHO)’s International Year of the Nurse is celebrating the work of nurses and midwives, and highlighting the challenging conditions they often face, particularly during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
“Our Infor nurses draw on their unique perspective and experience to provide their fellow nurses and caregivers with solutions that prioritize patient care,” says Matt Wilson, SVP of Infor Healthcare. “Each of our nurses has a personal journey of compassion and caregiving that led to a career in healthcare technology.”
Each post in the Infor Blog series features the story of an Infor nurse in their own words:
"I got into nursing because I love taking care of people. Supporting technology that I believe protects and supports our clinicians, so they can provide the best care possible, gives me that same satisfaction."
— Jeena Stanford, RN and Human Capital Management solution consultant for Infor Healthcare
"I love my role here because it is all about continuously learning the complex systems used in the care delivery setting and how to make them more efficient for delivering better patient care. I work on connecting the various solutions and the people who use them, bridging gaps and building a clinically connected ecosystem."
— Heather Hudnall, BSN, RN and Infor senior solution consultant

“Since I brought my bedside nursing background to a technology company a decade ago, I’ve maintained a strong awareness of this very human element of what I do. My role is to connect my work to not only support clinical outcomes, but a better experience for patients, families, and my fellow healthcare staff members.”
— Shelly Schulz, RN and Infor clinical solution advisor

"I am always listening to our clients, bringing their ideas and their voice to help drive product development and provide our clients with the functionality most needed in today’s care environments."
— Heidi Bell, RN, BSN, and Infor principal clinical solution advisor

"In the ERP world, I often say that clinical applications are the yin and operations are the yang. Seemingly contrary forces that are, in fact, complementary. I use this combination of direct care management experience with my understanding of the benefits technology brings to healthcare to help my clients, and fellow nurses, anticipate future needs."
— Stuart Miller, Infor VP of sales
“We thank these and all of the amazing nurses we’re proud to say are part of Team Infor,” Wilson says.
